Beacon Pollinator Garden Walk:
From Industrial Site to Thriving Pollinator Garden

If you have ever visited Hudson Valley Brewery, chances are that you have encountered the vibrant greenery in their pollinator gardens. As you will learn on this guided walk through the property with co-owner Marisa Lomonaco, the industrial site wasn’t always a thriving ecological landscape. This property has had many lives as part of Beacon’s industrial past. Marisa will discuss the history of the site and some of the challenges encountered along the way.

Marisa focused on selecting a combination of native shrubs, trees and perennials that would adapt well to the area and assist in the revitalization of the surrounding landscape. Participants will have an opportunity to learn about her design and the plant choices that have contributed to a pollinator-friendly environment.

At the conclusion of the short tour participants are invited to meet other native plant enthusiasts over a drink and mingle in the garden.
